After having been a regular run-of-the-mill professional for over a decade, Bharat Ramanath decided to go out on a limb and attempt the romantic and nutty 'make your passions your vocation' journey. Having worked in 14 different countries and seen a few more just for fun, more than enough was done to stoke the latent travel passion in him. He managed to slake this thirst somewhat by successfully summitting Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, doing the incredible Inca-trail to Machu Pichchu and trekking around the hills of Kinnaur Himachal Pradesh- apart from several local treks and climbs in and around areas that he happened to be in.
The travel intensive lifestyle imposed by work ensured that the only stay-fit option available was running. His own small 'bragging rights library' (as he loves to call it) is under construction and so far has 1 full marathon and 3 other half marathon plus runs. (with continuously improving timings of course :)).
Bharat lives in Bangalore with his wife and two year old son. He is old enough to remember the 'good old days' when the bicycle was his only means of transport and he cycled all around Bangalore without fear of being knocked down by traffic or dying of carbon-monoxide poisoning while attempting to do so.
Bharat runs F and M and promotes Active Tourism in India.
